1933–2024

In Loving Memory of Grover Edwards. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Grover, who left this world at the age of 91 on July 22, 2024.

Grover was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and great-grandfather. His legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

Grover shared 67 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Frances. Grover was predeceased by his parents Bud and Edith Edwards. Brother of the (late baby Allen), (late Kathleen) and Rick.

He was the proud father of three children: Karen Vallee (Dennis), Harvey (Sandra), and the late Cindy Trudeau (John). Known affectionately as “Papa,” Grover leaves behind a legacy of love for his grandchildren: the late Michelle, Brent (Krysten), Josh (Jeannie), Jamie, Shawn, Amy (Jesse), Rachel (Brian), and Amanda (Jordie). His joy extended to the next generation, as he was a doting great-grandfather to Madison, Hailey, Ethan, Peyton, Kenzie, Nolan, Willow, Harper, Nyla, Nova, and Everley.

Grover’s talents spanned both business and farming. He was not only a successful entrepreneur but also a mentor to many. In his younger years, he found solace in his horses, and throughout his life, he collected numerous tractors—a testament to his passion for the land. Grover’s adventures took him far and wide. His truck and trailer became conduits for countless friendships during his trips down south. His warm smile and genuine interest in others left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

A special thank you to Brenda, Dorothy, John and Linda Bell and Phil.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at the Sault Ste. Marie ER, the compassionate home care nurses, and the PSWs who cared for Grover during his final days. Your kindness will always be remembered.
