It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marty, Dad, and Papa, surrounded by his loving family, at ARCH on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the age of 75. Beloved husband and best friend of Jane (nee Marasco). Adoring father of Marnie Pedinelli (Paul) and Karen Burley (Andrew). Cherished and proud Papa of Ethan, Jacob, Nyah, Owen, and Emmy. Son of the late Michael and the late Helen Dumanski. Dear brother of Michele Bock (Gary), late John Dumanski (Dale) and the late Julie Boudreau (Johnny (Monique)). Son-in-law of the late Johnny and the late Helen Marasco. Brother-in-law of the late Beverly Marasco. Marty will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be deeply missed by so many wonderful friends, his extended family.

For 31 years, Marty was a dedicated teacher, mentor, and coach in the Catholic School system. He was an avid sports fan and athlete, passing on his passion to his children and grandchildren. He spent his retirement wintering in Florida, golfing, and playing cards with family and friends. He was a living example of kindness, love, and generosity to all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to a public visitation at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The family has chosen to remove distancing requirements and capacity limits at the funeral home. As per this request, proof of full Covid vaccination and government issued ID will be required upon entry into the funeral home for those age 12 and over. Guests without full vaccination will not be permitted to enter as per BAO regulations. Masks are mandatory and the use of hand sanitizer is appreciated. A private family service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donation to ARCH would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. Mogharrabi, Dr. Booth, Beth Parr, and her team at Home Community Care, the ALS Society, and especially to the staff at ARCH for their compassion and exceptional care. www.northwoodfuneral.com
