It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eugenio, the beloved husband of 70 years to Agnese D'Ulisse, who passed at the Sault Area Hospital. Loving father of the late Mario D'Ulisse (Martha). The BEST Nonno of Tom D'Ulisse (Gina) and Laura Coccimiglio (Jamie); proud Great Nonno of Luca and Noah D'Ulisse and Micah and Jaxon Coccimiglio. Great Nonno to his furry friend Lulu. Beloved son of the late Vincenzo and late Maria D'Ulisse; son-in-law of the late Mariano and late Giovanna Vizzarri. Adored brother of late Joicino (late Filomina), late Nicolo (late Sophia), late Rosina Ficco (late Panteleone), late Antonio (late Rosina), late Carlo (Anna), late Attilio (Carmella), Elena Campana (Mario). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Coccimiglio for her care and compassion, especially this past year, North East Home Care for their daily care over the last year. Thank you to a special daughter-in-law, Martha for her constant care and support, who dropped everything to make sure Nonno was always at his appointments and cared for properly. To Rhonda Batman for her continuous advice, guidance and love.

Eugenio immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1953 in hopes of a better life for him and his family. He landed in Michipicoten Harbour where he worked tirelessly as a crane operator. After two years he was reunited with his wife Agnese and young son Mario, of 18 months. In 1966 they moved to Sault Ste. Marie as a family where he began working at Algoma Steel as a labourer. He was a hard worker, always putting 110% into what he was doing. After many years of work Eugenio retired and spent his time doing the things he loved most. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed watching his grandson Tom play soccer and hockey, as well as attending  his granddaughter Laura's dance and piano recitals. Telling stories of all his experiences, sharing his wisdom, and how he grew up was an important part of our upbringing. He took pride in his garden, always making sure he grew more than enough sweet peas for his grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than having a group of people out at his bush lot to cook his famous porketta. He found enjoyment in the outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing with his closest friends. Nonno's smile was contagious and could light up any room. He loved everyone he met and always saw the good in people. You are our hero Nonno, and you will be missed more than you know. We find comfort in knowing that you're smiling with your son Mario, and you're loving dog Bruiser as you watch over us. We love you!!!
