With sadness and yet gratitude, we mourn the loss of “Russ” Donaghue. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the age of 87.
In sadness we will miss a truly kind and honest man who stood with love and pride beside his late wife Frances. He was a caring and inspiring guide to his children Ritchie (Nancy Looker) and Cathy (Todd Rydall). Family and friends will feel the sadness of losing his happy demeanour and unwavering love, yet in gratitude we can all cherish any time spent with such a gentle soul. The son of the late Charles and Millicent Donaghue he leaves behind his brother Dwight (Judy) and sisters Wanda (Mario Celetti) and Becky (Joe McGoldrick). He was also Grandfather of Roddy Rydall and Tonya Hatten (Andrew). Part of him will live on in great grandchildren Easton, Tory and Rayden.
We hope he finds peace and happiness with his cherished wife Frances and family now passed - Dale, Leona (Hilding Erickson), Beatrice and Adabel.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Echo Bay Elks Hall on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
