Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Algoma Residential Community Hospice on August 23, 2018 at the age of 77. Loving husband of Judy (nee Brunton) for 51 years. Dear father of Lori Viotto (Mike), Brenda Peacock (Brad), Robert Dixon (Karen). Proud grandfather of Drake, Danika and Dane Viotto, Kyle and Ben Peacock, Kiley, Avery and Emily Dixon. Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Zena Dixon. Brother of the late William Dixon (late Ann) and of the late Marie Marchand (late Levi). Son-in-law of the late Stuart Brunton and the late Olive Brunton. Brother-in-law of Harry Brunton (Fran), William Brunton (late Gail), late Lloyd Brunton (Della), Jean Linquist (Victor), Sharon Ledyit (Ed), late Shirley MacKay (late Ralph), Don Brunton (Jean) and the late Max Pertelli. John will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. John had a strong passion of the outdoors and enjoyed many timeless memories at his cabin in Dunns Valley. Friends are invited to visit Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522) on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 6 - 9 pm, and Tuesday, August 28 between 9:30 and 10:30 am. Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 11:00 am with Mr. Charlie Martin officiating. Interment at Dunns Valley Cemetery.
