Peacefully at home on Monday, January 24, 2022 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 82 with family at his side. Loving husband of Beverley for 58 years. Caring father of John Jr. (Pam), Mark (Karolina), and Kathleen Kolbus (Shawn). Proud grandfather of Tyler, Savannah, Mason, Kaylee, Jordan and Kaitlyn. Predeceased by his parents Johann and Josepha. Dear brother of Marianne (Fred) and Josie (Louis). Brother-in-law of Douglas MacLachlan. John will be greatly missed by his grandchildren. He will also be missed by his extended family at World Cars.
John moved to Canada from Germany at the age of 19 and never looked back. His passions were flying his plane and fishing. He also enjoyed spending many happy hours with his grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions by cheque or online to Prostate Cancer Canada or the SAHF Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated.
