Born July 13, 1928 in Petit Roche, New Brunswick, passed away suddenly at the F. J. Davey Home, after a very long and courageous battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis, on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at the age of 76. The Lord has freed her of her pain and taken her to be with her husband Willis, who pre-deceased her in 1994. Dear mother of Gail, Doreen Luhta (Gordon), Willis, Loretta and Roland. Dear grandmother of Steven Luhta (Michelle), Jason Luhta, Shanna Giusti (Jeff), Jordan, Kristen, Corey and Tina Derry. Great grandmother of Chelsea and Cailey Giusti of Sudbury, Savanna and Julian Derry of the Soo. Daughter of the late William and Marie Roy, sister to Guy Roy (Pat), Susan Johnson (Bruce) and Gervais Roy all of Kingston, Ontario and the late Cuthbert Roy. Sister in law and aunt to a huge number of families from the Derry side. The family wish to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff of 300 Birchwood at the F. J. Davey Home for making our mother’s last few months very special for her, she loved you all, also to Home Health Care for her mobility needs and to Patty VanHoof at Island hearing Services for helping her to hear again. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, June 5, 2005 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service from the chapel on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 12 noon. Rev. Larry Burton officiating.
