It is with broken hearts that the family of Dona Marie Delavalle announces her passing at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the age of 76.
Dona was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to the late Caroline (nee Deresti) and Nick Delavalle. Loving mother of Chris Tassone, Tina Archibald, Margaret Erdman, and Sammy Tassone. Cherished grandmother of Krista, Amanda, and Nicole Erdman, the late Paul Archibald, Hunter McCluskie, and Megan Tassone. Beloved great grandmother of Austin and Skyla. Dear sister of the late Dianne Totten, the late Nikky, and Joe Delavalle. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was a dear friend to the late Paul Stiber. She will be missed by many cousins and friends.
Donna was a simple, loving and caring soul who was kind and always helping others. She was liked by many lifelong friends and anyone who came by her path. She lived her life to the fullest right to the very end. She had a deep commitment of helping others and spent her life as a devoted woman to her faith. Donna will be missed by many!
As per Dona’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Memorial donations made payable by cheque to Women in Crisis Algoma would be greatly appreciated by the family.
