Peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2022 at the age of 79 with family at his side.

Beloved husband of Eileen Vincent-Cullen and the late Enda Cullen (nee Grumley).  Loving father of Helene MacLeod (Geoff), Padraig Cullen (Renée), Eoin Cullen (Vanessa), Eamonn Cullen (Maureen) and Fiona Cullen-Cirelli (Carmen Cirelli).  Proud Grandad of Camille (Mike) and Aidan MacLeod (Elana), Darragh and Quinn Cullen, Grace, Ciaran and Nieve Cullen, Declan, Fintan, Molly and Ciara Cullen, Oliver, Isla and Oscar Cirelli.  Good friend of John Vincent (Georganne) and Stacey (Kalvin), Shawn Vincent (Paula) and Jacob.  Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Eleanor Cullen and his brother Brian Cullen (late Priscilla).  Brother-in-law of Michael and Dympna Hennessy. Uncle of Sean and Deirdre Cullen, Mark and David Hennessy and Karen O'Neill.

Brendan and his first wife Enda left Ireland as newlyweds and raised their family in Sault Ste. Marie, where he embarked upon a decades-long career at Algoma Steel.  He was actively involved as a dedicated volunteer in his community (church lector and lay minister, 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, various aid agencies in town, meditation groups). He was an instrumental force in bringing the vision of a local hospice to reality and was overjoyed when ARCH finally opened its doors to the community. Brendan created a strong belief in his children of the importance of family first and the value of hard work and laughter (TG).

Brendan was blessed to find love again with Eileen and rediscover travel and other joys of life.

A private service will be held at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522), followed by a celebration of life to be held in the summer.  Memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to ARCH, the Alzheimer Society or VON would be greatly appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Cullen family.
