Peacefully at the Ontario Finnish Rest Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold Raymond Couchman and the late Benson Pentland. Predeceased by her parents Reginald and Mary Chester and her siblings Emma, Wilma Hermiston (late Leslie) and Thomas (late Bertha). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Win was born in Dymond Township at “Chester’s Corner”. She received her education in New Liskeard. She then moved to Kirkland Lake where she worked for the local stock broker. Following the war, she and husband Harold moved to Bracebridge where they built the Winhara Motel which they ran for many years. At Winifred’s request, she will be buried with Harold at the cemetery in Bracebridge. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the New MKK. The family would like to thank the MKK staff and residents for their kindness and compassion shown to Win while she resided there.
