Peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Brampton, Ontario in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Gail (Godfrey) for over 52 years. Cherished father of Debbie Backstrom (Bob) of Ottawa, Lesly Dickinson (Scott) and Dona Hill (Laurie) of Inglewood. Adored grandfather of Rob (Van), Jennifer (Ian), Ron (Stephanie), Katie (Mike), Jason (Elaine), Peter and Meghan. Special great grandfather to 11. Son of the late Thomas and Laura Conway. Predeceased by Roy Conway (Dorothy), Harold Conway, Lloyd Conway (Joyce), Dorothy Theriault (Brendan), Loretta Parish (Lloyd), Marion Harrison (Rolly) and Clayton (Vi). Loving uncle to many. Friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
