Constant

(February 24, 1943 – April 29, 2019) – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, peacefully surrounded by family at ARCH. She now joins her late husband, Lawrence Constant. She will forever be survived by her children John Constant (Laurie), Kelly Harding (Tim), Mark Constant, Aaron Constant (Rocio), Monique Constant (Jean-François Leclerc), Tanya Constant (Goran Presic), Diana Constant (Charles Wilhelm) and Raymond Lemieux. She was an adoring Grandma Do-Do/Grammy to Alan, Jack, Logan and Charlotte. Predeceased by her parents Loretta and Henry Dupuis. Dolores was one of eleven children: Bob, Ted, Dave (Shirley), Anne Marie, Gerald, Christopher, Daniel, Howard (Shirley), Ed and Catherine Porter. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews whom she loved as much as her own children. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Precious Blood Cathedral with Father Hamish Currie officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to ARCH or the SAH Renal Dialysis Care Fund would be appreciated. Special thank you to Kerri Wilson, Dr. Berry, Dr. Shafiee and Dr. Buehner for their continued support. To the nurses and support staff in the dialysis unit, you became her extended family. To her care coordinators, homecare nurses (Holly, Marcy, Claudine) and PSW’s (Jen, Gail), thank you for advocating and providing compassionate care. Special thank you: to her superintendent, Jack, for being her friend and checking in on her daily; to all the people and community supports that cared for our mother; to all the staff at ARCH for providing loving and compassionate care in her final days; and lastly, to her sister Anne Marie, for selflessly providing support and helping her through the years. Along with your late sister, Catherine, you were both her dearest friends and none of us would be here without you.

“Those we love don’t go away,
they walk beside us every day,
unseen, unheard, but always near,
so loved, so missed, so very dear.”
