With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Geraldine Constable in her 79th year at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.

Geraldine is survived by her best friend and caring husband, Norbert. Predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Alex Semeniuk. Loving mother of Wendy Treibmann (Jody) and Heather Marandola (Mike). Proud grandmother of Alysse, Emma, Kailey, and Joseph. Beloved sister of Bill Semeniuk (Laurie), Bonnie Maenpaa(Raimo), Alex Semeniuk (Tracy) and predeceased by Robert Semeniuk, and Betty Jalak (Heino). Treasured sister-in-law to Colleen Digby (late Robert) and Loreen Danby. Geraldine will be affectionately remembered by her many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Geraldine was a kind and compassionate caregiver. Her faith was important to her, and she was always charitable, generously offering assistance to others. This extended to her longtime role at Weight Watchers, where she supported others in improving their health and well-being.

Dear to her heart were the numerous memories of time spent at Wart Lake with her family. She always looked forward to spending time with her brothers and sisters, enjoying coffee at A&W and celebrating milestones at Misty’s Fifties. She recently made the big move to Barrie where she enjoyed daily visits with her daughters, grandchildren, and the occasional teasing from her sons-in-law.

When she sang and danced with the love of her life, her infectious smile lit up the room and made everyone around them joyful. Love and laughter surrounded her. She was the perfect picture of resilience and grit, truly living up to these traits.

A special thank you is extended to the staff and doctors at the RVH for their exceptional care and professionalism.

A celebration of life will be held on June 15th at Emmanuel United Church, 224 Bennett Blvd, in Sault Ste. Marie. The service begins at 11:00 a.m. and a reception will follow at the church from 12:00-1:00. Memorial donations to the Emmanuel United Church and Arch are appreciated.
