Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Maple View on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the age of 82.
Beloved wife of 61 years to Edgar. Loving mother of Larry (Betty). Proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Predeceased by her parents Genevieve and George Pountney. Sister of the late Ronald Pountney (late Joan), Robert Pountney (Margaret), late Terry Pountney (Yvonne) and Larry Pountney. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Pauline Aucoin (late Luke) and Edgar's Family to numerous to mention. Best friend to Buddy and Vivian Roy. Special aunt to Sandra and God mother to Beth. Ethel will be remembered as a strong willed person and for her cooking and wonderful baking skills.

In keeping with Ethel's wishes, cremation has taken place, there will be a private graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations made (payable by cheque or online) to the SAH Foundation Cancer Care Fund or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
