It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Genoeffa Coccimiglio.  Genoeffa passed away peacefully on Jan 8, 2022 at the age of 89, with her devoted husband Mario and family by her side.  Born March 10, 1932, Aiello, Calabria Italy, daughter of the late Melchiorre and late Maria Guzzo-Foliaro.  Genoeffa was a hardworking, caring, devoted mother who always put her family first.  She will be forever missed by her loving husband Mario of 69 years.

Caring mother of Dominic (Rosaly), Carlo (Antonia), Enzo (Beth) and Iva. Proud Nana of Paul, Stefanie (Jordan), Jeffrey (Kate), Amanda, Brandon, Jordan, Jennifer (Dustin), Derrek, Brielle, Matthew (Jessica) and Alicia. Great Nana to Hudson, Caleb, Jacob, Aidan, Aurora, Reece, Jack and Isabel.
 
Dear Sister to the late Rosaria, late Eugenio Guzzo-Foliaro (late Antonietta), late Gaspare Guzzo-Foliaro (Rosina), late Adelina Iacoe (late Pasquale), Emilio Guzzo-Foliaro (Yolanda) and the late Emma Caria (Antonio).
 
Daughter-in-law of the late Domenico and Angela Coccimiglio. Sister-in-law of the late Nicola (late Ermerinda), late Battista (Rosaria), the late Gaetano (late Carmela) and Frank (late dear niece Mary).  Genoeffa will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mario and family wish to extend special thanks to Extendicare Maple View - Twin Lake staff who showed compassion throughout Genoeffa’s time at Maple View; your support was noticed and was greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Luke Fera, 3B nurses, staff and PSW’s at Sault Area Hospital for your compassion and support.
 
As per Genoeffa’s wishes a private immediate family visitation will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home.   Family and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service held in the chapel of the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.; Rev. Paul Conway officiating. Please call 705-759-2522 to make an appointment to attend the chapel service.  Please note that All Covid-19 restrictions apply, masks are required, maximum 80 people. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
