Henning was born in Ode Forslev, Denmark to Jens Peter and Helga Christiansen. Dear brother of Otto (Helene), Egon (Inger), Ingrid, and predeceased by Marta, and Henry. Dear friend of Jean Jensen and the late Karl Sr. Best friend and father figure to Karl Jensen Jr. (Monica). Godfather of Travis Jensen (Jessica). Special uncle of Kelsey Lento (Patrick). "Bestie" to Macy-Anne, Lucas, Maxwell, Jace, and Aria. Uncle and dear friend of Laura Jensen, Lifa Taillefer (Darryl), Steen Jensen (Bev), Alex Jensen (Heather), Monique Baechler (Aaron), Chantelle Rebbe (Jeff), Jacob, Benny, and Brielle. Henning will be deeply missed by his furry best friends Roxy, Hannah, Fred, Ollie, and Winnie. Henning will be reunited with his canine pal Kirby up in Heaven.

Henning came to Canada in 1955 and soon became a lifelong resident of Sault Ste. Marie. He spent most of his working years at Morgan Welding as a truck driver. He was a proud member of the Moose Lodge and Kiwanis Club. After retirement Henning was a season ticket holder of the Soo Greyhounds. He enjoyed his Wednesday lunches and Hound games with a special group of friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, where he enjoyed the great outdoors. Gardening was his passion and he would spend countless hours working on his flowers. You could often catch him enjoying his gardens, while he was on the back deck with a cold beer in his hand. Christmas was a time he looked forward to, especially spending time with family, friends and indulging in a Danish Smorgasbord. Family was very important to Henning and he especially loved all the video calls with his family back home in Denmark.

At Henning's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522).
