July 3, 1957 – April 17, 2024
Our beloved mother, sister, auntie and friend made her way to the spirit world. She’s in good company as she reunites with her lifelong partner Peter Delapenotiere, her parents Camille and Elizabeth Chiblow, her sister Mary Rose Walker and her nephew David Chiblow. Cherished mother of Francis (Tianna) and Shane (Ashton). Proud grandma of Elisa, Nolan and Amelia. Loving sister of Phyllis, Theresa (Mike), Annette, Louisa, Camille Jr. (Dana), and Kevin. Stepmother of Brian, Chris and Shaun. Special friend of Ron Jacques. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her aunt Elva and aunt Annette as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Barbara liked socializing and found friends in any crowd. She had a great sense of humour and loved to joke around. She enjoyed scratch tickets and playing bingo and liked camping and being outdoors. Barbara loved all animals, especially her cat Pritz. We will forever miss her genuine big smile and authentic hearty laugh.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Geka Wigwam in Serpent River First Nation, the Renal Clinic at St. Joseph’s in Elliot Lake and the many nurses and doctors for the care, compassion and kindness shown to Barbara over the years.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Mississauga First Nation Community Hall, 154 Village Road, MFN on Monday, April 22, 2024, beginning at 11am until time of service on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 1130am. Feast in the hall following services.
