Lucien

We are in deep sorrows to announce the sudden passing of Lucien George Joseph Charette on June 5, 2020. Most knew him by Lurch, Luc, Uncle Looney, Lucien and the Lucman. Lucien was 30 years old, born November 2, 1989, his time has been cut short with us however, each day of his life will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and cherished by everyone he was close too. Beloved son to Lilian Yukich, Lucien Charette Sr. and stepfather Tom Dennie. Beloved brother to Azure-Dey Charette, Arthur Charette (Kristina Richard), Anita Verdenik (Len Verdenik), Ray Charette (Tina Facca), Helen Charette, Paige Dennie and Ali Dennie (Andrew Toni). Cherished Uncle to Dawn Charette (Phillip Gathercole), Shane Pirozzi, Gabrielle Lavoie, Solin Charette, Avie Deveau, Daxon Charette, Teyla Verdenik, Ronon Verdenik, Austin Charette and Brandon Lee. He had such a huge heart and he could brighten any room just by walking into it, he was a bright soul. He was a BIG teddy bear, always the first to give huge hugs. Lucien was a practical joker and always tried to get the last laugh. He loved #momsspaghetti, as a young boy one of his favourite songs was the old “cheese whiz adds personality commercial”. Lucien had a huge connection to animals. They were naturally drawn to him; his dog dozer was his best friend. They went everywhere together and shared a bond of love for each other. Lucien will be missed by so many people. He wasn’t aware of the impact he had in the lives of the people he touched, we know he is happy and at peace. A private family service will be held. Donations to the local Canadian Mental Health Association and Pauline’s Place would be greatly appreciated. On going fund-raising will be held in his honour with the proceeds going to said organizations. The family wishes to thank Constable B. Nickle of the Sault Ste. Marie Police, medical Dr. Victoria Coccimiglio, Mental Health worker Camille Coutu, personal family friend Missy Cooper, the staff at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and everyone else involved in his life. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James St., Sault Ste Marie, P6A 1P7 705-759-8456).
