With great sorrow and broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Jennine on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the age of 91.

Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Hugh (1998). Loving mother of Ronald MacLeod (Mickey) and Valerie MacLeod (Frank Kurucz).

Special friend of John Hanchar. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Clem McFarling, brother Don and sister-in-law Elaine McFarling. Lovingly remembered by her sisters Fern Sandvik (late Sam) and Beth Kerns (late Harold).

Survived by loving nieces and nephews: Deanna, Greg, Jennifer, Joanna, John, Larry and Wayne; and great Godsons Eric and Lyall.

Jennine worked at Bell Canada from her 17th birthday in 1947 until her retirement in 1985. She loved to dance and paint. She fondly remembered her 15 warm winters in Florida with her husband Jack where they danced and enjoyed life away from the cold weather. She had her sense of humour right until the end. She often said that she lived such a long life because "They Made Them Tough In Glendale"; the small village near Searchmont where she was raised.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in the spring at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E 705-759-2522). Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Bladder Cancer Canada https://bladdercancercanada.org/en/donate-now or to the Alzheimer Society of Algoma https://alzheimer.ca/algoma/en.

Special thanks to the McCarroll's Lake Care Team at Extendicare Maple View who went above and beyond in their supportive and loving care throughout her time there. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the MacLeod family.
