This remarkable woman built an incredible life with her gentle husband Wayne by her side. This loving couple is now reunited. She had an insatiable zest for family, extended family and life that will never be forgotten.

Seija who was: a cherished Mother, Nanny, Sister, Auntie and Friend, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice at the Age of 78 with her daughter Marilyn by her side. She will be forever loved and missed.

Much loved wife of the late Wayne Catling. Much loved mother of Anita Lefebvre (Luc) and Marilyn Robinson (Dennis). Cherished Nanny of Crystal Lundgren (Eric), Joshua Robinson and Jessica Robinson (Zach). Proud great nanny of Malakai and Sonny Lundgren and baby Charlotte.

Daughter of the late Kauko (Sirkka) Malkki and late Annikki Malkki. Dear sister of Jouko Malkki (Darla), Jorma Malkki (Leah), Juhan Malkki (Mary), Sinikka (Shiela) Dawson (Brian), and Heidi Schell (Steve). Dear sister-in-Law of Marc Levasseur (Monique), the late Daniel Levasseur and Cindy Martin (Barry). Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit on Friday, September 27, 2024, at O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James St, SSM) from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm. Memorial Service celebrated in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Mr. George Wright officiating. In memory of Seija, "the fashion Diva" the family would love it if ladies attending wore something pink in their apparel and adorn themselves with pink lipstick and nail polish!

The family would like to thank Doctors: Thibodeau, Febbraro, Sharp, and Apostle of the SAH Oncology Department and Palliative Care, the most amazing nursing team of 3C for their exemplary care and concern for Seija, and also the amazing team at Algoma Community Residential Hospice including Dr. Wilson for their care and compassion.
