CARNES, Joy Laraine (nee Armstrong)

Born August 11, 1923 in Essex, Ontario to the late William and Beryl Armstrong. Joy passed away peacefully, after a long and courageous battle, at the Tendercare Nursing Home on Monday November 3, 2003. Beloved wife of William Harvey Carnes. Dear mother of David (Pat), Ron (Mary Ann), Allan (Angela) and predeceased by her son Phillip (LeeAnn) and daughter Susan. Grandmother of Mike (Jennifer), William Jack (Paula), Cassey Lynn Vincentini, Ron Jr., Chris (Lori), Greg, Scott, Mercedes, Mathia and Nelia. Great grandmother of Kristen, Derissa, Claudia, William Casey, Leah and Matthew. Sister of Graham Armstrong (Lois) of Detroit, Michigan, Ralph Armstrong (Betty), Jean Butler (Harold) of London, Ontario, the late Joseph Armstrong (late Winnifred) of Waterloo, Ontario and the late Dorothy Ann Lee (Garfield) of North Bay, Ontario. Fondly remembered by her friends Colleen, Jennifer and Karen. Also aunt to many nieces and nephews across the country. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service in the Chapel of the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Thursday November 6, 2003 at 2 pm. Memorial donations made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
