J. Louese Cameron, was called home to the Lord on December 22, 2023, at the age of 84. Born on June 10, 1939, Louese was the eldest daughter of Archie and Myra Cameron. Beloved sister of Janice MacLeod (Elvin). Dear Aunt of Cynthia MacLeod (Paul Reed) and Lauri MacLeod (Nelson Carrillos). Great-Aunt to Alexander, Kathleen, and James. Fondly remembered by her many cousins and friends.

Louese had a very diverse career, spending her life in service to her Lord and Saviour. After completing her nurse’s training atPlummer Memorial Hospital in 1961, she attended Ontario Bible College, graduating in 1964. Feeling God’s call to serve as a missionary, she joined Africa Inland Mission. On route to Africa, she spent a year in Scotland learning midwifery. In 1967Louese arrived in Kenya, where she served as a nurse and health educator for over 20 years. She spent another 12 years working as Personnel Director for the international board of Africa Inland Mission, in Bristol, England. Returning to Canada in 1998, she worked for several years as a home care nurse before retiring.

Louese was active in her church community at Thessalon Bible Chapel, and we thank them for their ongoing love and support.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff, on Tamarack, at Algoma Manor, and to Brooke, at Beggs Funeral Home, in Thessalon, for her gracious help.
