BYRNE, Iris Zelma Ritchie

Of 136 E. Camp Perry Road, Hertford, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with the Lord on Thursday afternoon, May 13, 2004. Born in Blind River, Ontario, Canada, she was the widow of James Charles Byrne, Jr. and the daughter of the late Stanley and Lillian Fleming Ritchie. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Fritts of Hertford; a son, Stephen Byrne of Virginia Beach, VA; a grandson, Daniel James Carnall of Hertford, a sister, Irma Nayler of Blind River, Ontario and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Alan Gibson officiating. Swindell Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the Bryne family.
