It is with broken hearts and great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Shawn on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the young age of 31.
Shawn leaves behind many family members and friends. Shawn will be deeply missed by his lifelong partner and best friend Natasha and his 3 young sons Robin, Tucker and Brayden. Loving son of Diana Dowding and Timothy Butt. Grandson of Marie Butt "GG" and predeceased by Erla and Bud Dowding, Jack and Cecilia Butt. Cherished son-in-law of Nadine (Randy) and George (Darlene). Much loved brother of Justin Butt (Cecile), Krista Luzzi and Mark Roehrig. Brother-in-law of Dylan, Tab and Christopher (Kimberly). Proud uncle of Kyra, Damien, Aaliyah and Raelynne Butt, Kayla, Calum and Jase, Amelia, Ozzy and Zayden, William and Zayden. Special nephew of many aunts and uncles. Shawn will be fondly remembered by many cousins, extended family and friends. He will be missed by his Fountain Tire family and co-workers at Algoma. Best friend of Ryan "Ry Guy", Mira "Mya" and Sam.
Shawn was an amazing man with a huge heart of gold and would light up a room with his contagious laugh and infectious smile. He was a friend to everyone he met and would give the shirt off his back to anyone he could help. He took great pride in his family and raising his sons. His love for Natasha and his boys knew no end and he took great pleasure in spending anytime he was not working with his friends and family, he will be forever missed. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Saturday, June 11, 2022 between 11:30 am - 2:30 pm. Funeral service to take place in the Chapel at 3:00 pm with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
