With broken hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Marisa at the Sault Area Hospital surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the age of 74. Beloved wife and best friend of Federico “Fred”. Cherished mother of Louisa Bruno, Patricia Vella (Marlow) and Christina Bisson (Jeb). Proud Nonna of Sophia, Scarlet and Sylvia Vella. Predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Luisa Paradiso. Sister of the late Dante (Gina), late Amelia, late Margherita (Lorenzo), Maria, Salvatore (late Rita), and Rosa. Sister-in-law of Vittorio (Olinda), Michele (Madelaine) and Carmine (Kathy). Marisa was a loved Zia to many cherished nieces and nephews in Canada, US and Italy.
Marisa was dedicated to her family. While her daughters were growing up, she always encouraged them to be kind to one another. There was no greater joy in her life than when she became a Nonna to her precious granddaughters. She loved spending time with them. Marisa’s home was a gathering place for many friends and family where she ensured that you were fed and treated as if you were a part of the family.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at Holy Family Parish (208 Prentice Ave) on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Boguslaw Jaroszek officiating.
