Passed away peacefully at ARCH on January 16, 2025.
Garneta was the loving wife of Doug Brown, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.
Mother to the late Daryl Berry, Cheryl Brown, and Debbie Coulson (Joe). Grandmother to Kile Coulson (Kenna) and Kane Coulson (Autum).
Daughter of the late Hazel and William Berry. Sister to David (Ginette), late Harold (Mabel), Irene (Raymond Harold), Esther (Neil Rosendal), Andy (Velma), late Don (Linda), Cora (Larry Dougherty) and Gail (Joe Howard). Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Garneta was not only a loving family member but also a great cook and baker. She had a knack for crocheting and knitting, skillfully crafting the best dishcloths that were treasured by all. She had a remarkable ability to connect with others; her well-liked personality and great sense of humor made her a joy to be around. She always had a joke ready, brightening the days of those around her.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 24, 2025, at O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James St, SSM) from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Service to follow in the chapel with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Spring interment to be held at Bellingham United Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the amazing nurses, PSWs, volunteers and staff at ARCH for their care and compassion. They would also like to thank Dr. Booth, Dr. Spadafora and Dr. Bonder.
