With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Arnold Broos. Beloved husband of Betty (Merrick) for 39 years. Dear father of Krista Adams (Stephen), Michael and Anna Lisa. Grandfather of Clayton Adams. Stepfather to Shauna Drouin and Nicole Beharriel. Brother to Frank Broos and the late Johanna Rivers. Arnold was born in Eindhoven, Netherlands, to Frank and Petronella (Vanderloo) Broos.
He immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of 6. He grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario where he worked as a welder and pipefitter for several local companies. He moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1985 where he and Betty owned and operated Accurate Plumbing until their retirement in 2019. Arnold was a skilled tradesman and took great pride in his work.
He most enjoyed using his skills to help friends and neighbors. Arnold’s was a life well lived. He worked hard and played hard. His favorite saying was: “I’m here for a good time, not a long time.” A celebration of life will take place this summer.
