Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

He was the beloved son of Dan Breen Sr. and the late Nora Breen, and a devoted brother to the late Maureen (Stephen Cassavia) and the late Patrick, his best bud. Daniel was a loving uncle to Cayllan Cassavia (Kalle Mattson) and Connor Cassavia (Rachel Voigt).

Daniel was the third Daniel Breen in his family line, a legacy he carried with pride. He pursued his passion for welding at Sault College, where he honed his skills and built a trailer alongside his father, a testament to their bond and craftsmanship that remains in fine working order to this day .His career was marked by dedication and excellence. Daniel went on to teach welding at Conestoga College, where his deep intelligence and integrity inspired many students. He further distinguished himself as a welding inspector for General Motors, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Eventually, Daniel returned to his roots in Sault Ste. Marie, accepting a position as a planner/scheduler with Algoma Steel, where he continued to contribute his expertise and work ethic.

Beyond his professional achievements, Daniel had a profound love for music. He could often be found spinning records on his dual turntables, a cherished gift from his mother, Nora. His passion for music was a source of joy and connection for him and those around him. Daniel found his happiest moments in Cuba, where his visits to the island provided him with joyous and wonderful memories. His uproarious laughter and engaging storytelling were legendary, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
