BRECKENRIDGE, Denison Scott

Posted

breckenridge

Born August 18th, 1956, son of Jack and Jeanette Breckenridge, hailing originally from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario

He made his last sail onto open endless ocean on January 25th, 2022, at the age of 66 at the Royal Columbian Hospital with his daughter and his wife by his side in the “beautiful country” of Surrey, BC

Survived by his loving wife Barbara Nachtman, to which he called his "Basha", her children and grandchildren, daughter Carly Creagh (Ryan), brother John Breckenridge (Mary), and sister Terri Crookston (David). Uncle to Adam, Tyson, Kyle, Brianne, and Jesse.

Wild-e-Coyote Super Genius, as people would call him, was known for his intelligence. From a young age, he was teaching himself how to build and launch rockets, and successfully did that at his school one day.

Those that knew Dennis, would probably have met him in unique ways. Whether it was discussing technology or having him start speaking through your radio speakers from across the street, he knew how to make a lasting impression on everyone he meets.

He spent his life adventuring and exploring the open seas. Sailing along with friends and surprising them with canned margaritas. If he wasn't on the water, he was adventuring the globe with his beautiful wife, or on a mountain skiing.

He was and will always be known for his character, and using his intelligence in rebellious, but fun-loving ways.  That is something he kept with him until his final days. Dennis could always remember how to have fun.

His final requests were to keep things simple, therefore the family will be having a private memorial in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Royal Columbian Hospital or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (Payable to or online to).
