Glenn Stewart Bowser, Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Mr-Fix-It and friend, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Sault Area Hospital at the age of 71.

Glenn is remembered with love by his wife of 50 years Kathy Bowser, their children Greg, Scott (Danielle), Joe (Lindsay), Celine (late), grandchildren Hope, Emmett, Riley, Nicholas, Noah, Michaila, Daniel, Justin and his fur-baby Ollie.

If you were to ask Glenn what his greatest accomplishments were in life, he wouldn’t explain his long career in mining or other various jobs; he wouldn’t boast about his skills at playing pool, his love of the outdoors or admiring the beauty of nature. He would instead tell you that he was the best husband and father he could be. He would tell you that he failed at this task, but he was a humble man who acknowledged his faults and refused to hover over details he could not change.

The reality is that family was his greatest joy. He was a loving partner to his wife Kathy for over 50 years. He was the best father to his children and he especially loved his role as “Papa”.

He was a protector and a teacher who taught others mostly by setting a very high standard for himself and then becoming that example to show others it was possible. Glenn was a solitary man, but the lives he touched will be forever changed without him. He will be missed dearly, but lives on in the memories and stories of his family and closest friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the amazing Doctors, Nurses and PSW’s in the SAH Medical Unit for their compassion, support and excellent loving care of Glenn.
