Claudia Bowes, born February 5th, 1961, at the age of 62, passed peacefully with family by her side on November 5th at Sault Area Hospital. Survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Howie Bowes. Sister to Erich Eppert (Mimi), Roger Eppert (Heather), and Alan Eppert (Cindy). Wonderful mother to Joshua and Shelby Kerns (Cory), and stepmother to Ben and Jarrod. Oma to her pride and joy grandchildren, Kyarra Bowes, Chase Kerns, Lyric Murchison and Elizabeth Bowes. Daughter of the late Anton and Gerda Eppert.
Claudia was The Barber On the Bay in Bruce Mines for many years and developed friendships with her customers from all over Algoma. She was always caring, kind to everyone she met, had an amazing sense of humour, always helped others, and most of all was beautiful inside and out. Claudia enjoyed visiting with friends, sitting by the water at their previous beach home in Bruce Mines, curling up with a warm blanket watching Hallmark movies, (and paranormal stories), playing and reading with her grandchildren, walking, taking country drives with Howie. She hated travelling but always did it and had fun anyways! She will forever be loved, appreciated, and thought of by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her Family will hold a celebration of life for family and friends in the spring of 2024, at her beautiful home in the Sault that her husband built for her.
We would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the SAH who have taken such kind and gentle care of her over the last few years.
Claudia loved to give to others when she could and wishes for anyone to donate to our local soup kitchen to help warm the bellies of others in need.
