W.W. II Veteran Branch 189, Blind River, passed away in his 80th year at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia, Ontario with his wife Leda (Hehir) of 51 years by his side. He leaves behind son Daniel Bovin (Bonita), daughters Alvina Bovin (Kevin), Bonnie Concannon (John) and Madeline Chabot (Scott). Grandchildren Trisha, Stacey, Christopher, Jennifer, Jordan and Andre and four great grandchildren Kyle, Mariah, Jacob, and Nicholas. Survived by brothers Archie, Kenny, Roy and Lloyd. Predeceased by two brothers Morris and Dalton and by one sister Loretta. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home, 18 Front Street, Finch on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. (A service in celebration of George Bovin's Life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 1:00 p.m.) Interment to follow at Sandtown Cemetery, Finch. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
