Peacefully, in her 90th year, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH), Maria entered eternal rest with her devoted daughters by her side. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Francesco. She will be forever loved and missed in the hearts of her daughters, Rosaly Coccimiglio (Dominic) and Silvana Sdao (Maurino). Nanna will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, with whom she took pride in watching grow; David Sdao (Stacey), Paul Coccimiglio, Daniel Sdao (Tracy), Stefanie Law (Jordan), Andrew Sdao (Brittney), Jessica Hales (Justin), and Jeffrey Coccimiglio (Kate). She was blessed to be surrounded by 11 beautiful great grandchildren; Ava and Maila Sdao, Hudson, Caleb and Jacob Law, Emmalyn and Elliot Hales, Gianna and Aaliyah Sdao, and Isabelle and Lucas Coccimiglio.

Born in Serra D’Aiello, Italy, Maria was the dedicated daughter of Carmine and Serafina Febbraro, and respected daughter-in-law to Vincenzo Boschi and Teresa Viola. Being the eldest, she was much loved and cherished by her sister, Rosa Beltrano (Joe) and brother, Joseph Febbraro (Judy). A special sister-in-law of Domenica Furgiuele (late Fiore), the late Fiore Boschi (Carmela), and the late Gino Boschi. Maria valued her friendship with her cousin, Francesca Febbraro (late Raffaele). Adored Aunt (Zia) to many loving nieces and nephews.

A private family service has been held. Memorial donations to the SAH Foundation or ARCH would be appreciated. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all doctors involved in her care, especially over the last year; Dr. Pihelgas, Dr. Fera, Dr. Singh, and Dr. Yi, and the nurses on 3B. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Apostle and the compassionate staff and volunteers at ARCH who made her final days with us peaceful.

Our mother and Nanna was the epitome of sacrifice; she dedicated her whole life to loved ones, and to her passion for her beautiful flowers and garden. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758). www.northwoodfuneral.com
