"Willie Boy" was born on March 3, 1951 and he followed his daddy's footsteps in choosing to begin his spirit journey on March 3, 2020. Willie Boy was a warrior in all senses of the word. He fought for good of our Anishnaabek people on many levels. He was instrumental in the American Indian Movement across Turtle Island. He loved his children so very much. They were his pride and joy. Eagle (Jody), Wolf (Chrissy) and the late Starr Boissoneau. His grandchildren, Lucas, Teddy, Meghan, Elizabeth, Shaina (Darcy), Autumn and great granddaughter Faith, will all miss him dearly. He will be forever loved and missed by his brothers and sisters, Bobby, Keith (Janet), Julie, Lorrie, David (Tamara), Robert, Gloria, Rhonda and Karen. He will meet all his ancestors, Joseph and Elva Boissoneau (parents), Charlotte & Stephen Boissoneau, Lena and Harry Abtossaway (grandparents) and great great grandfather Chief Shingwauk. Bestest uncle to many nieces and nephews and the Baushene Boissoneau Kids. Fondly remembered by Auntie Gloria, Marlene and his buddies Shawn, Farmer, Gerald and Gayle. Family and friends are invited to Garden River Community Centre on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 5 pm until the time of the ceremony on Satuday, March 7, 2020 at 11 am. Willie's ceremony will be officiated by his cousin Joe "Amik" Syrette. Interment Garden River Anglican cemetery. Feast to follow at the hall.
