Peacefully at Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 64. Daughter of Late John Boissoneau (Bud) and late Regina Hookey. Partner to Barry Pichette. Mother to Kevin Boissoneau, Barry Pichette-Boissoneau and Brigette Boissoneau-Pichette. Sister to Stephanie, Joe, Diane, Roxy, Brenda, Sharon, and Amy. Proud grandmother to Jesse Evans, Jonathan Desjardans, Kevin Jones, Janelle, Jaysun Boissoneau, Kelvin Boissoneau and late Jeremy Desjardans. Great grandmother to Lincoln Evans.

Bernadine was well known all over for her Wiingashk (sweetgrass) pins. She was very inspired by her anishnabe way of life, contributed many of her crafts to pow wows, ceremonies, funerals, school events and give aways. She proudly published her own story, “A mothers jingle dress dream” inspired by a dream after the birth of her daughter.

A special thank you to the various physicians, nurses and PSW’s on 3B that cared for Bernadine during this tough time.
