With great sorrow the family regrets to announce the passing of a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother at the General Hospital on Friday, September 12, 2003 at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd. Cherished and devoted mother of Earl (Lorraine), Lynn McKinnon (Garry), Patricia Brodie (Terry), Sharon Bock, Timothy (Cathy), Debbie McQuaid (Jamie), Tina Gale (Stan) and Gregory (Marnie). Very loving grandmother of Karen, Candice, Steve, Katrina, Mike, Christopher, Sheila, Shawna, Brian, Pam, Corey, Brittany, Kristen, Brandon, Dakota and Baylee. Loving great grandmother of Samia and Matthew. Daughter of the late Gertrude and Edward MacDonald. Dear sister of Gerry, Harold, Gordon, Helen, Shirley and the late; Margaret, Joan, Charlie, Stanley, Ralph, Wally, Ronny and Clyde. Doris will be greatly missed by her brother-in-law Rodney Bock and his wife Susan and their family. Doris’ humour and care for others will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A private family funeral service was held at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Saturday, September 13, 2003. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thanks to Drs. Leahy, Owen, the nurses on 200 A and to all of those who assisted in Doris’ care.
