BIANCHI, Antonio Vincent (Tony)

After a stoic, courageous struggle to overcome
cancer, Tony completed his arduous journey on Thursday, June 16th, 2005 at 1:00 p.m.
at the Plummer Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his wonderful parents, Mary
and Erminio Bianchi. Left to grieve his passing is his wife of 49 years, Dorothy,
who was at his side throughout. Also surviving and the pride and joy of his
existence are his loving children: daughter Carrie Nelson (Larry) and
granddaughters Elise and Reilly, son Anthony (Elizabeth) of London and
granddaughters Brooke and Carly, his loving sister Joanne Bernard (Eddie) who
constantly provided support, sister-in-law Edith Fischer and 'brother-in-law John',
again, so supportive, Charles Peer (Mary), Harold Peer (Joyce), Howard Peer
(Thelma). 'Uncle' John Arcangeletti (Blanche and Harvey) who left no stone unturned
in their total generosity toward us all. Thank you to all the many family members
and our legion of friends who were boundless in their efforts to encourage, who
showered us all with goodness in such an awesome show of support. Looking after a
multitude of details, with daily checks and visits were Peter, Mickey, and Danny.
We, as a family, will always be indebted Thank you to the Access Centre and
Christianne Monico and her staff and to Sister Claranne and Father Currie. Especial
thanks to Dr. Walde who wouldn't quit and who gave us another 5 weeks together. Dr.
Buehner, Colette and Zoe for their loving, humane approach to us, and in his last
days, palliative care for their gentleness, compassion, and kind consideration. Tony
will always be remembered for his love of life, family, and friends. Embracing life
fully, 'Tony' stories will abound for years to come. In the words of his
grandchildren, 'to know him is to love him.' In his words, 'Oh Lord it's hard to be
humble.' Full of fun and a natural athlete, his passing will leave a void in the
hearts of many. At rest at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road
945-7758) on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Funeral Mass from St. Jerome
Church on Monday, June 20, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Hamish Currie
officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations would be much
appreciated to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic, Palliative Care or Sudbury's
House of Kin all of which provided us with much needed tender loving care.
