Pat had an amazing life and career. Growing up in Schumacher, Ontario, Pat attended Schumacher High School and graduated in 1961. After attending teachers college in North Bay, Pat eventually furthered her education and received a BA in psychology at Algoma University . Pat spent her career teaching in Sault Ste Marie at St Veronica, St Theresa and St Mary’s College.  Pat had a no nonsense approach to teaching and was devoted to the success of her students. Throughout her career, she was known to teach History, Math, and English.

Some fun facts about Pat.  While holidaying in Mexico, there was an earthquake while she was there which I am sure made the trip very interesting.  She loved to drive the open road on her motorcycle and 1969 Chevy Camaro.  One of the most fascinating things about Pat was her ability to add large numbers in her head endlessly, which amazed some of her nieces and nephews. Pat was an avid curler and card player and had many friends she enjoyed her time with.

In retirement,  Pat moved to Oakville to be closer to her sisters. As the years went on she moved into assisted living in Burlington, where she had many friends and enjoyed playing bridge regularly.  After a short illness, Pat passed away peacefully and was laid to rest in Sault Ste Marie at Holy Sepulchre Range X Lot 24

She will be remembered by all in our family for her kindness, amazing laugh and all the good times we shared.
