Passed away unexpectedly at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Bertoncello and her son Bryan (Carrie). Special Nana to Brennan Bertoncello. Remembered by her stepmother Margaret. Reunited with her parents Wesley and Donelda Nikkinen as well as her in-laws Guerrino and Santa Bertoncello. Dearly missed by her siblings Ray Nikkinen (Paulette), Kaaren DiPasquale (Kenny), Leslie Lewis and Karla Simonds (Jon). Sister-in-law to Carla and Luciano Zanatta. Lynda will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Lynda was such a passionate and caring individual. She loved her family and friends more than anything. Even with a life so active and full, she was devoted to putting others first before herself.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors and other care staff that took care of Lynda over the years. Though too many to mention, the family would like to specifically thank: Dr. Castelani, Dr. Rahn, Dr. Bariciak, Dr. Haider and Dr. Jonusaitis. The family would also like to thank Dr. Graham and the staff in the emergency department at the Sault Area Hospital for your exceptional care of Lynda.
In keeping with her wishes, a memorial visitation will be held at O’Sullivan Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, from 9:45am until 10:45am. A Catholic Mass will follow at Precious Blood Cathedral at 11am with Father Chad Franklin officiating.
