Born October 16th, 1934 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Passed away peacefully at the Collingwood Nursing Home on Sunday, December 10th, 2023
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, together for 32 years, his daughters Theresa, Anna, Cindy, Karen, Lisa, Natalie and predeceased by his son, Albert Richard III. (1976) Also survived by his stepchildren Cindy (Nick), Roger (Linda) and predeceased by his stepdaughter Judy (Raymond) (2002). Along with a great many of cherished family members and dear friends.
Bert had a long and distinguished life; he was a prominent businessman in Northern Ontario, (co-founder of Peachy’s Pizza Parlors in 1969), his associations included the Chamber of Commerce, ACT, and the Kiwanis Club. He loved his family and friends immensely and really enjoyed his sports and his cigars. An avid golfer and back in the day he was known to shoot a few rocks around the curling rink, a few pucks at the hockey rink and a few bocce balls down the court. He was a great man, a good father, a kind and beautiful soul.

As per Bert’s request there will be no visitation and no services, cremation will take place at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home in Wasaga Beach. Laid to rest at the Wasaga Beach Cemetery. Interment to follow in the Spring of 2024.
