Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the age of 96.
She will now be reunited with her devoted husband Ralph (2004) and her beloved daughter Pamela (2015) and son-in-law George (2014). She will be greatly missed and eternally loved by her sons Randy (Betty Ann) and Bruce (Laura). She was loved and admired by her five grandchildren – Christine, Karen, Kelley, Megan and Jeff, who will always remember Christmas at Nanny and Papa’s house and camping in the summers. She is survived by twelve great grand-children. Hilda leaves behind her sister Frances and joins her brother Jack and sisters Vina and Doris. Her family will always be grateful for the companionship and support of her friend Adele and nieces Jane and Brenda. Hilda was a loyal and longtime employee of Sears Canada. She will be remembered for her generous, happy and social nature. Her positivity and sharp mind kept her in close connection with family near and far until the end. We love you and miss you Mother and Nanny. A private memorial will be held in the spring to celebrate Hilda’s life. Donations payable by cheque may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her name.
