(1943 – 2021) - It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the peaceful passing of a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle, Michael, at Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 78. Predeceased by his parents Jean and Wilfred Belec (Rita). He is the beloved brother of Peter (Betty Ann), Mary-Anne Manibal (Al) of North Battleford, Sask. Paul (Mary) of Toronto and John (Wendy) of Mission, B.C. Loving uncle of Kathryn and Joe Tevc, Lisa and Paul Hapanovich, Alyson and Danny Nikou, Christine Belec and James Rizzuti, Michelle and Blair Geering, Kevin and Jolene Silva, Samuel and Jane Dodd and the late Hannah Dodd. Great uncle of Michael, Sarah, Dimitri, Lucas, Chloe and Griffin. Nephew of Velma Jones of Ottawa. Michael was a gentle soul who loved his family dearly and was loved dearly in return. His generosity knew no bounds and he was always ready to share what he had with those in need. He will be remembered with fondness and missed by all of us.
