BEAUPRE, Helen Gertrude "Bonnie" April 28, 1940 - December 1, 2023

Our hearts are breaking with the sudden, but peaceful, passing of Bonnie in her home Dec. 1, 2023, just a year and a half after losing the love of her life and husband of 54 years, Ron.

She is survived by their 2 children, Janice (Elmira, MI), Kenny (NewLeaf, Queensville, ON), and her sister-in-law, Noreen (Niagara Falls).

Bonnie was born Helen Ladd, the youngest of 5, in rural Quebec and was nicknamed “Bonnie” as a baby when people remarked “what a bonnie child” she was. She earned a Bachelor of Library Science from McGill in 1964, and was working at a library in London, ON, when she met her husband Ron through a pen pal program and married soon afterward. If you knew Bonnie, she loved to read, and was grateful for each day her eyes didn’t fail her and was a weekly visitor to her local library. She also loved her “Hens and Stitches” knitting group and made beautiful quilts and baby clothes which she gifted to friends or those in need. She was thankful for her ‘Twin Rocks’ neighbours, church group, friends, her PSW Sherry, and the Dr. HS Trefry Centre staff, for their daily thoughtfulness, care, and support, especially since Ron’s passing.

As per Bonnie’s wishes, there will be no funeral, and cremation has taken place so she can join her beloved Ron under the tree planted in his memory. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to one of following that were so dear to her heart:
