BARSANTI, Vincent Paul - June 13, 1956 - December 27, 2024

Known affectionately as Vince to his friends and family, passed away at the Sault Area Hospital, in his hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on December 27, 2024.

Born on June 13,1956 to the late Howard and Lydia Barsanti. Vince was a man whose life was characterized by a deep sense of thoughtfulness, passion, and an analytical mind that he brought to every aspect of his being. He was definitely an individual who lived life on his terms, and by his own uncompromising code.

Vince's early years in Sault Ste. Marie were the foundation of a lifetime of memories and the beginning of a journey that saw him become a respected and accomplished carpenter. His hands skillfully shaped the world around him, leaving a legacy of craftsmanship. Early on Vince put his carpentry skills to work and with a little help from friends, he built two homes for him and his growing family. Vince's work was not just a job but a testament to his attention to detail and his commitment to excellence.

Vince had several interests. His love for music was evident in his vast collection of LPs, each one a soundtrack to different chapters of his life. Vince's analytical nature was often reflected in the way he could delve into the intricacies of a particular album or artist, always ready to share his insights with fellow music enthusiasts.

Vince was also an avid fisherman, cherishing the tranquil moments spent by the water. The patience and passion he showed in this pursuit were a mirror to how he approached life- always steady, always in the moment, and always with a sense of anticipation for the catch that was welcomed on board.

Vince was also a passionate gardener. His flower bed that adorned his yards were a sight to see. He was particularly proud of his vegetable garden. He grew the most delectable produce. He was very scientific and precise in this endeavour as in all tasks that he took on. I will miss the tomato plants that he gave me every year( He started them indoors), to transplant in my own garden in the spring.

Vince was also a most worthy cribbage player. I will not be able to sit down with a crib board, without a smile creasing my monicker, as I recall the countless hours that we wiled away with a deck of cards and a cribbage board before us.

He was a devoted father to his three children, Brandon, Adam and Kristy, teaching them the values of hard work, dedication and the importance of following one's passions. His home from time to time would provide a safe haven for friends of his children that were having difficulties at home. Vince would take them in, until all was sorted out and it was safe to return home. Vince's sisters Anna Marie and Terry Lou will dearly miss him, and will cherish the good times and memories that were created through a lifetime. Vince's light shone brightest when he was with his grand daughter,Leila, whose presence brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Vince will be sorely missed by a legion of good and loyal friends,so many good memories and times that were shared.

Vince's thoughtful nature made him a cherished member of the community. His inquisitive mind often led him to engage in meaningful conversations, and his passionate spirit inspired those around him. He was a man who never hesitated sharing his thoughts and views.

As we say goodbye to Vincent Paul Barsanti, we celebrate the enduring impact he has had on all who knew him. His legacy is not only in the structures that he built or the hobbies that he enjoyed, but in the love he shared and the thoughtful way he navigated his journey through life. Vince's memory will be carried in the hearts and minds of his family, his friends and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Vince's life reminds us to embrace our passions, to commit ourselves to the things we love and to approach every challenge with a thoughtful and inquisitive mind. He taught us that the measure of a life is not in its length, but in the depth of its connections and the love shared along the way.

We can take comfort in knowing that Vince's spirit will continue to guide us, just as the North star guides the solitary fisherman on a calm, clear night. His legacy will endure, built firmly on the foundation of love, kindness and the memories that we hold dear. Rest in peace Vince. Your memory will be a beacon of light for us all.

Kudos and a heartfelt thanks to all the staff and medical team in the geriatric- section 3B of the Sault Area hospital for the excellent care that was provided for Vince in his final days.

There will be no service held as per Vince's wishes. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Spring/Summer of 2025. Marie Humane Society, the Canadian Wildlife Federation, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
