Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with family by her side on Sunday, November 1, 2015, one month short of her 89th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Worden. Loved Mother of the late Rodger (Susan), Dale (Sue), and Kurt. Loved Nana of Laura and Amanda Buckley (Mark). Great Nana to Cooper and Hunter Buckley. Daughter of the late John and Jennie Shackleton. Dear sister of Allan Shackleton (late Joan). Predeceased by siblings Stanley Cameron (late Gladys), Jean Barber (late Miles), Jim Shackleton (Eva), Irene Gjos (late Richard), Anna Beilhartz (late Hugh), Cora Connell (late Lorne), Ernie Shackleton (late Cora), Elsie Clark (late Reg), and Ruth Shaule (late Bill). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 1:30pm at the Port Findlay Cemetery. Rev. Patrick McManus officiating. A come and go celebration will follow the service at the Laird Hall from 2:30 – 4:30 pm. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Society or to Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be appreciated by the family.
