It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard at the age of 83.
He was the son of the late James Sr and Mrytle Ball. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Jacqueline Ball (nee Bampton). Dear father of Steven Ball, Lloyd Rowat (Angelique), Donald Rowat (Christina), Lesley-Ann Gratton (Michael) and the late Frankie Ball. Also mourning the loss is his sister Barbara Brooks, brother Jimmy Ball Jr (Diane) his 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and friends especially his closest friends Victor and Case.
Those who knew Richard knew he worked hard to provide a good life for his family. Richard loved being outdoors spending time in his garden, feeding his pond friends or looking for treasures with his metal detector.
In keeping with Richard's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no funeral service. The family would like to express their gratitude to the paramedics, firefighters and the staff at the Sault Area hospital for the care and compassion they showed to his family.
Memorial donations to Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be great appreciated by the family.
