It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jorden Atkinson announces his unexpected passing on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the age of 28 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Adored father of Peyten Gagnon Atkinson (mother Tamara Sabourin). Cherished son of Dennis Atkinson (Monica Ecklund) and Sharon Charbonneau, Thunder Bay. Brother of James Ecklund, Jack Atkinson, Josh Atkinson, Josee Charbonneau, Lindsay ON and Mathieu Charbonneau, Bonnyville AB. Grandson of the late William and Jacqueline Atkinson, Margaret Leathorn, Thunder Bay. Nephew of Thom Atkinson (Debbie), Gary Atkinson (Rachel), Brenda (John Veltri), Larry Atkinson, Richard Atkinson (late Susan), Terry Atkinson (Sherry), Billy Atkinson (Mary), Robbie Atkinson (Natalie) and Brian Leathorn (Kathy). Jorden will be missed by his many cousins.
A come and go celebration of life will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Jorden was able to help five people through organ donation. Memorial donations made to Trillium Gift of Life Network or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
