With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marvin Jack Armstrong on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 80 years old.

Devoted husband of Theresa for 55 years. Cherished father of Tammy Hurley (Ken) and Danny (Teresa). Beloved Papa of Lexi and Logan Hurley and Calla and Shea Armstrong. Brother of Viola Mauro (Gary) and Judy Evans (Larry). Marvin is predeceased by his parents Claire and Elsie Armstrong and two brothers Robert Armstrong (Dora) and Calvin Armstrong (late Denise). He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Marvin was an avid outdoorsman and was happiest when fishing and hunting. He was a jack of all trades and if any of his friends or family needed his help, he would drop everything and be there as soon as possible. His greatest love was his family, the love of his life Theresa, his kids Danny and Tammy and most of all his pride and joy, his grandchildren. Calla, Shea, Lexi and Logan loved their Papa, and he could not have loved them more.

Special thank you to the many friends and family who visited with us in the hospital and brought coffee, food and hugs, especially Jim and Sue St Jules and Vicky and Randy Roy. There are many more friends, neighbours and family that have supported us. Thank you as well to the staff at the Sault Area Hospital ER and floor 3B who cared for Marvin. They were compassionate and kind, and never hesitated to ask us what we needed, even bringing a pullout bed and pillows and blankets as we all crammed into the room for the long nights. Thank you to the caring staff at ARCH, he was there for a brief time but the facility is wonderful and it provided the peace and quiet he wanted in his final hours.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque to the Sault Area Hospital or A.R.C.H. would be greatly appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Armstrong family.
