On Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, surrounded by her family at home, God decided that heaven needed some more sparkle, so he called our mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Denise Armstrong home.

Denise is reunited with her loving husband, the late Calvin Armstrong in heaven. Loving partner to Guy Corbeil, who has shown Denise unwavering love and support throughout her battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Lily and Albert Sangelais. Sister and fierce protector of the late Albert “Junior” Sangelais. Loving mother of Mary-Lynn Duguay and Len Devuono. Grandmother and best friend to Alyssa Sherlock (Sean) and Brett Berry (Brandi). Cherished auntie to Stephanie Harman, Jenny Green (Steve) and Stacey Sangelais (Doug). Proud great aunt to Jake, Koen, Aria, and Tandy. Denise will be forever loved and remembered by her family from Wichita Kansas, daughter-in-law Michelle, granddaughter Heather, grandson Brandon and beloved great-grandmother to Priscilla, Pharrah, Penelope, and Poppy. Special friend to Lois, Mary Lou, Brenda, Kathie, Joy, and many, many, many, more who will miss her so much. Beloved Mrs. A to her "beauties" Jennifer, Anna-Lisa, and Lori. Denise will also be missed by her two fur babies, Bella, and Daisy.

A huge thank you to the one and only, Dr. Jay (Jadavji), at the Sault Area Hospital for his kind, compassionate, and outstanding care. Another huge thank you to Dr. Rassouli and Dr. Shehata. Thank you to Robert Rawn at the Sault Area Hospital. Thank you to Dr. Booth and the nurses at Bayshore (Brandy, Kim, and others) for granting Denise her greatest wish, to leave this world at home, surrounded by the people that she loves.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James Street, SSM). Funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel with Father Paul Conway officiating. As per Denise's request, please wear something sparkly, shiny or "bling" to her funeral.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Cancer Care Fund (payable online or by cheque). Visit www.osullivanfuneralhome.com. to leave condolences for the family. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.

If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.

Remember everyone, as Denise would say: LET GO AND LET GOD!
