Barbara Irene Alton (nee Dalziel) passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Ralph Alton for over 57 years. Loving mother of Rod Alton (Joan) and Ellen Purvis (Jack). Dear sister of J. Douglas Dalziel (Olive) and Joan Summers (T. Arnold). Cherished grandmother of Katie and Christopher Alton, Sheila and Sotty Purvis. Great grandmother of Isaac Purvis and the late Elija. Sister-in-law of John Alton (late Wilhelmina), late Alice Hill (late George), Margaret McClelland (William), late Roy Alton (Gladys), late Florence Shook (late Alex), Carl Alton (late Jean), Wilbert Alton (late Valley), and Mable Waggler (Harold). Barbara will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and special cousins. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home on Friday, November 29 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 30 at 10:00 a.m. with Mr. Bruce Cain officiating.
